The site sits high above the harbour at Darling Point, with water views across to the moorings. The owners wanted a pool that read as part of the outlook rather than a separate object in the garden.

We poured a steel-reinforced concrete shell with an infinity edge facing the water and a dark mosaic interior that picks up the sky. Stone coping runs flush with the timber deck, and the planting was kept low so the view carries straight across the pool.
