NORTHERN BEACHES. FRENCHS FOREST
Steel-reinforced concrete pools drawn for gently sloping forest blocks in Frenchs Forest. Designed and built by a family practice in Belrose since 1968.
Building in Frenchs Forest
Frenchs Forest is a settled family suburb of brick homes around the hospital precinct and reserves. The blocks run on sandstone and clay, gentle slopes. Each of those things changes how a pool is engineered.
Access shapes the build before anything else. In Frenchs Forest that means mostly workable access on the family blocks, with rock on the higher ground. From there we draft a concrete shell to the slope and the light, often a lap pools on a block like this.
Frenchs Forest is about 6 minutes from our Belrose yard, so our supervisors are on sites nearby through the week. One Wright supervisor stays on your project from excavation to handover, with no subcontractor chain.
