RESIDENTIAL. BELLEVUE HILL

Bauer Residence.

A clean rectilinear lap pool and spa, set into a level sandstone terrace.

Location
Bellevue Hill, NSW
Type
Residential

This was a pool for daily laps in a tightly considered garden. The shell is a long rectangle set flush into a sandstone terrace, with an integrated spa squared off at one end.

A pale blue interior keeps the water soft and even, and the coping sits low so the lawn and pool run together. Frameless glass and a clipped hedge close the space without crowding it.

Frequently asked

Bellevue Hill pool questions.

Why choose a concrete pool for a lap pool in Bellevue Hill?
Concrete lets us pour a long rectilinear shell to the exact length and depth a daily swimmer wants, with a spa integrated into one end as a single structure. It also holds a crisp, squared edge against sandstone coping that a moulded shell cannot match.
Can a lap pool and spa share one structure like the Bauer Residence?
Yes. Here the spa was squared off at one end of the lap pool and poured as part of the same concrete shell. That keeps the water lines continuous and the terrace reading as one clean rectangle rather than two separate objects.
Does Wright Pools build concrete pools in the Eastern Suburbs?
Yes. Wright Pools has built across the Eastern Suburbs, including Bellevue Hill, since 1968. We are a family owned concrete pool builder based at Belrose, working throughout Sydney under NSW licence 246552C.
