NORTHERN BEACHES. WHEELER HEIGHTS
Steel-reinforced concrete pools drawn for elevated bush-edge blocks in Wheeler Heights. Designed and built by a family practice in Belrose since 1968.
Building in Wheeler Heights
Wheeler Heights is a quiet family suburb of homes on elevated streets backing onto bushland. The blocks run on Hawkesbury sandstone, sloping blocks above the Narrabeen lagoon catchment. Each of those things changes how a pool is engineered.
Access shapes the build before anything else. In Wheeler Heights that means sloping blocks with rock excavation. From there we draft a concrete shell to the slope and the light, often a view-facing pools on a block like this.
Wheeler Heights is about 13 minutes from Belrose, so our supervisors are on sites nearby through the week. One Wright supervisor stays on your project from excavation to handover, with no subcontractor chain.
