NORTHERN BEACHES. FRESHWATER
Steel-reinforced concrete pools drawn for sloping beach-village blocks in Freshwater. Designed and built by a family practice in Belrose since 1968.
Building in Freshwater
Freshwater is a tight beach village of character homes and renovated cottages on the slopes above the surf. Most blocks sit on sandstone headlands above the beach sand, with the land sloping streets between two headlands. We read those conditions before a line goes on the page.
On a Freshwater site the first question is access, and here that means tight village streets and steep blocks, where a crane lift is often needed. Once that is sorted we draw the shell to the block. A plunge pools is the build we put on these blocks most often.
Freshwater is about 17 minutes from Belrose, so our supervisors are on sites nearby through the week. One Wright supervisor stays on your project from excavation to handover, with no subcontractor chain.
