NORTHERN BEACHES. MANLY
Steel-reinforced concrete pools drawn for Manly's ocean and harbour blocks. Designed and built by a family practice in Belrose since 1968.
Building in Manly
Manly runs from the Corso terraces down to the headland houses, a dense mix of period homes, semis and apartments on small blocks. Ocean on one side, harbour on the other. The land sits flat through the town centre and turns steep on the headlands. That mix shapes every pool we draw here.
We walk the block, read the access and the slope and the light, and draft a concrete shell that belongs there. On a tight Manly site that is usually a courtyard plunge or a narrow lap pool, lifted in over the house when the street will not take a truck. Concrete is the only material that lets us cut a pool to a space this constrained.
Manly is about 25 minutes from our Belrose yard, so our supervisors are on sites across the peninsula through the week. One Wright supervisor stays on your project from excavation to handover.

Highly professional throughout. They suggested a project fit for purpose, delivered on time, and the finished product is to a high standard.
55 years building Sydney pools and it shows. The shell sat perfectly in the slope and the finish is exactly what we drew.
