NORTHERN BEACHES. QUEENSCLIFF
Steel-reinforced concrete pools drawn for headland ocean blocks in Queenscliff. Designed and built by a family practice in Belrose since 1968.
Building in Queenscliff
Queenscliff sits at the north end of Manly beach, a mix of character homes and apartments above the surf. The blocks run on sandstone headland above the beach sand, steep on the headland, flatter toward the lagoon. Each of those things changes how a pool is engineered.
Access shapes the build before anything else. In Queenscliff that means steep headland blocks where rock excavation and a crane are common. From there we draft a concrete shell to the slope and the light, often a view-facing pools on a block like this.
Queenscliff is about 20 minutes from Belrose, so our supervisors are on sites nearby through the week. One Wright supervisor stays on your project from excavation to handover, with no subcontractor chain.
