NORTHERN BEACHES. CHURCH POINT
Steel-reinforced concrete pools drawn for steep waterfront blocks in Church Point. Designed and built by a family practice in Belrose since 1968.
Building in Church Point
Church Point is a small Pittwater village at the ferry wharf, eclectic homes built into the hillside. The blocks run on Hawkesbury sandstone falling to Pittwater, very steep blocks above the water. Each of those things changes how a pool is engineered.
Access shapes the build before anything else. In Church Point that means extremely tight access and steep falls, where craning is essential. From there we draft a concrete shell to the slope and the light, often a plunge pools on a block like this.
Church Point is about 23 minutes from Belrose, so our supervisors are on sites nearby through the week. One Wright supervisor stays on your project from excavation to handover, with no subcontractor chain.
